Report Card

Here's what Early Intervention had to say on Phoebe's report today:

"Great accomplishments in a week's time. . .She is doing beautifully. . .In a week she has changed so much-- more smiles, more vocalizations, more eye contact, and seems to be very bonded to mom. . . She was easy to engage in different activities and enjoyed playing with the toys. . ."

That's an A+ in my book.

  1. For those of use that "follow" your blog or even the casual lurker, would you tell us what "Early Intervention" is. It sounds ominous.

PS. I still think you need a new profile picture. :)

  2. Early Intervention is a GREAT program support by lots of government money with a proven track record for jump-starting kids who have developmental delays. A lot of kids they serve are from settings with limited resources (financial, cultural, etc), others have medical needs, some are adopted like our kids, etc. They come and do a full assessment, then come to your house or daycare to spend an hour a week on the floor with your child, helping her to catch up and get back to where she should be (or to her full potential). They teach the parents as much as the children, about how to play and teach and talk. They are just wonderful!

PS-- yes, I know, I'm getting closer to a new profile shot! Honest!
